21CBS – The Big Move

21CBS, a Bristol based regional building, electrical and maintenance contractor has moved in to new 8,500 sq.ft offices at Malago Vale Trading Estate located in central Bristol.

The company secured the freehold industrial unit in January 2014 which was initially used for storage before taking the decision to move out of their Bartley Street premises circa 0.5 miles away in December 2014. The move has centralised day to day operations in a move to drive efficiency and provide space.

The refurbishment of the 1985 built unit was undertaken over a period of 18 weeks leading up to the big move in December. Works included forming meeting rooms, store rooms, shower / changing and toilet facilities, kitchenette, breakout space and a large open plan office space to accommodate the ever expanding team and a Table Tennis Table.

The company has taken steps to vastly improve the buildings green credentials much beyond installing the mandatory cycle racks. They have fitted over 15KW of Photo Voltaic Solar Panels on the roof, along with rain water harvesting tanks collecting water to flush toilets and water the staff garden; yes the office staff have a garden! Each has been allocated ‘allotment’ style plots which they regularly tend to adding an extra competitive dimension to office life.
