Our commitment to the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015
21ST Century Building Services are committed to the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the abolition of modern slavery and human trafficking.
As an equal opportunity’s employer, we are committed to creating and ensuring a non-discriminatory and respectful working environment for our staff.
Throughout all areas of the business, we ensure that our team feel confident that they can expose wrongdoing without
any risk to themselves. As a family business we encourage our team to speak openly when they have concerns of any kind and as such, we operate an open door policy where anyone can speak to management in confidence at any time.
We offer structured support to everyone within the business and ensure that our people have the underpinning knowledge of our policies to be able to understand the principles to which we work.
Our recruitment and people management processes are designed to ensure that all prospective employees are legally entitled to work in the UK and to safeguard employees from any abuse or coercion.
We do not enter into business with any organisation which knowingly supports or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.
Our supply chain
We assess ourselves to have a low risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chains.
Our supply chain partners are selected from either our own pre-approved list or are specified by our clients at tender stage. We have developed strong links over many years with our supply chain and work in partnership with them to ensure that they meet our standards and expectations.
Our approved subcontractors are required to undertake a comprehensive pre-qualification process where they are vetted prior to being included on our approved list. These details are reviewed on an annual basis or when circumstances change.
