Laboratory for Regenerative Medicine

We were instructed by University of Bristol Capital Maintenance and Infrastructure, following a competitive tender process, to carry out a comprehensive remodel and refurbishment of parts of level B and level C of the School of Medical Sciences, to form a category two laboratory for research into regenerative medicine. Works included the protection of existing Autoclaves to be moved and re-commissioned later in the programme, light strip-out of area including all mechanical and electrical works, and extensive demolitions of dividing concrete walls. New block work walls were then built and the area was skimmed throughout. All new mechanical and electrical works were then run surface. Mechanical included hot and cold water, air conditioning, extraction, steam and wastes. Electrical works included power, lighting, fire alarms and data. Finishes included new carpentry and joinery, suspended ceilings, tiling, decorations, floor coverings and specialist laboratory benching.
